Virgin Voyages is hosting in-person auditions, by appointment,

for male and female identifying comedic hosts. 

All performers must be at least 21 years of age.

IT'S A SHIP SHOW MC:

It’s the “Late Night”... but not too late...in this old-school variety hour meets late-night talk show mash-up. We’re looking for charismatic and outgoing male-identifying actors, with a strong background in hosting and improv comedy to be our host.  Ability to improvise on the spot, and create an atmosphere of fun (with a twist), are an absolute must.

Must have a strong sense of humor, as well as be comfortable performing among audience members and welcoming them into a high-energy experience.

The Global Smash Hit + Las Vegas Strip Favourite has hit the Ships Daaaaaaarling! And it’s
going down a storm! Yup, Gameshow has partnered With Virgin Voyages.

A full-on riot of a show. Fast, funny and fabulous. Are you ready to misbehave? Prove it.
A game show like no other. You'll win and lose points, you'll know all the tunes, and
probably end up shouting and screaming (and singing) in spite of yourself, all while having
no idea WTF is going on. The Host & Assistant will entertain the hell out of you, while
guiding you through to the Grand Prize, a finale like you've never experienced before. Never
the same show twice. Oh, and bring your phone. If you still don't have a clue what's about
to happen ... perfect.

Our female-identifying host is very comfortable on a mic, can ad-lib without derailing the rhythm, understands funny, charismatic, natural comic timing, able to work within a structure. Excellent delivery of scripted material as well as excellent crowd work skills. You will have a script, some of which will be delivered with pathos, some purely instructional. The rest is listening and playing with the crowd…as they dictate.  Needs to have a 2-4 minute act - ideally skills based and music driven, that will be featured in the show. Can be singing, playing an instrument, variety or you-tell-us. If you're a hilarious mess ... you're perfect!

CONTRACT DEETS:

 

Six-month contracts will be ongoing throughout 2024 on our fleet of ships across the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Australia. 

 

Salary: Starting at $1,200/wk. Housing (single-cabin with private bath), transportation, and all meals provided.
